The Snows of Kilimanjaro!

Welcome to our new blog. We hope to use this space to keep you updated on our safari news…it might just be Ninian’s latest picture that we share, a recipe, news from a guest  or a story from are recent safari. Whatever it is we hope it will tantalise you! Check in often and send us stories that you would like to share by email and we will upload them here.

This December we spent  Christmas in the Mara where we saw caracal and leopard, a friendly bat-eared fox family, a cheetah mama and her cubs, forged flooded rivers, played ultimate Frisbee in the rain, and saw over 60 lions and lost count of the number of cubs!

We arrived in Amboseli with the rain and stood on the parched lakebed when the flood waters came, it was awesome to see and a huge relief for the region which has had almost no rain for the past 3 years.

Nakuru was next, we saw 19 white rhino and 7 black on one game drive. We ended the year with champagne on the lake shore and a rising blue moon with migrating flamingoes flying overhead.

Rainbow trout and a picnic on the Aberdares, and then Shaba which is verdant, all the rivers were in spate and the wildflowers were abundant, the hiking was great. Leopard, lioness with cubs and reticulated giraffe rounded off a perfect two weeks.
